Privacy Policy

ParentGrove is a Canadian mobile application and web service designed to help Canadian parents manage pediatric health milestones and family financial planning. We collect information you provide directly when you use the app, including: • Account information: your name, email address, and province of residence • Child profile information: your child's name, date of birth or expected due date, and lifecycle stage (trying, pregnant, or born) • App usage data: which milestones you have viewed, completed, or dismissed • Device information: device type, operating system, and app version (used for crash reporting and analytics only) We do not collect Social Insurance Numbers, financial account details, or health records. The Document Vault is a personal storage area — uploaded documents are encrypted and never reviewed by ParentGrove.

We use the information we collect to: • Provide and personalize the ParentGrove service, including generating your milestone timeline based on your child's age or due date • Send you push notifications when a milestone or financial task becomes relevant • Improve the app based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns • Communicate with you about your account, app updates, or important service changes We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for targeted advertising.

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database service hosted on infrastructure compliant with SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 standards. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). We retain your account and child profile data for as long as your account remains active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting privacy@parentgrove.ca. We implement Row Level Security (RLS) policies on our database to ensure that each user can only access their own data. ParentGrove employees do not access individual user data except when required to provide technical support, and only with your permission.

ParentGrove is committed to compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation, including Quebec's Law 25 (Bill 64). Your rights under PIPEDA include: • The right to know what personal information we hold about you • The right to access and correct your personal information • The right to withdraw consent to the collection or use of your information (subject to legal limitations) • The right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) To exercise any of these rights, contact: privacy@parentgrove.ca

ParentGrove provides general health and parenting information for educational purposes only. All content is sourced from publicly available Canadian pediatric and health guidelines and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider (including your pediatrician, family doctor, or specialist) before making health-related decisions for yourself or your child.

ParentGrove is designed for use by parents and caregivers aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The child profile information you enter (name, date of birth) is used solely to personalize your milestone feed and is protected under your account's privacy settings.

The ParentGrove website (parentgrove.ca) uses minimal analytics to understand how visitors use the site. No advertising cookies are used. We use privacy-respecting analytics tools that do not share data with advertising platforms. The ParentGrove mobile app does not use advertising cookies. Anonymized crash and usage data may be collected via Sentry (crash reporting) and PostHog (product analytics). Both services are configured to minimize personally identifiable data collection.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of ParentGrove after that date constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. This policy was last updated: February 2026.
